The Project
In creating a website for an interior designer Sasha Lanka, our challenge was to create an online presence that reflects the beautiful, well-planned environments that she creates while also offering her a variety of online tools to help get her new business off the ground. CoLab collaborated with site designer, Thomas Morrell, writing a number of custom Javascript functions. The first script enabled Sasha to password protect her sensitive portfolio of work. The second function, a custom AJAX script, seamlessly integrates her website’s contact form with her email client which receives alerts each time a contact form is submitted and with her Pony Express account, which logs each visitor’s information and makes it available for future marketing efforts.

A fresh update to the site has sashalanka.com optimized for mobile and allows Sasha herself to upload and arrange her portfolio galleries and edit content using our in house Content Management System. The CMS features a new blog component that will go live in late 2011.

Sasha Lanka is a passionate interior designer, ten years into her career. After working for the highly regarded firms of Jeffery Bilhuber, Champion Platt and Joe Nye, she decided to venture out on her own. As a creative professional with a new business, it was important to spread the word fast, and have an elegant presentation of her work in keeping with her timeless style.
