The Project
The wine industry has very specific requirements for order fulfillment. This presented an interesting challenge as our new client, LaRue, was launching a limited offering of wine products. The smaller, turnkey e-commerce systems we frequently integrate simply fell short. We needed something lightweight yet customizable in ways only larger, enterprise-level e-commerce platforms offer. We looked to our new in-house solution Prospero. Prospero made it easy to deliver specific functionality in a streamlined and easy to manage package. This was a great compliment to the subtle sophistication of the sites front end design by Elijah Woolery and programming of Jayme Peck. CoLab extended the value through integration of our in house email marketing system, Pony Express. Working in the wine industry since she was 18, Katy Wilson had build a solid list of trade contacts and email marketing was a great way to spread the word about her release.
Client Background
LaRue wines is a new wine label from Katy Wilson focused on producing high quality Pinot Noir exclusively from top vineyards on the Sonoma Coast. The wine is an elegant expression of the Sonoma Coast region. Katy is also an assistant winemaker at Kamen Estates.
